The heart of the artist lay upon the hills and in the barns of days gone by. From his childhood come fond memories of his birthplace in the Great Lakes state of Minnesota. Being transplanted to California in his youth and growing up in San Diego did not squelch the farm spirit that lay deep root within the man.
The artist graduated from Cal Poly San Luis Obispo in 1974 with a BA in Architecture. From there he used his talent to create architectural renderings, and delve into the commercial aspect of building as a licensed architect and senior designer for over 25years. In 2001, he ended the 8-5 grind due to a disability. During the past few years he has been able to return to his first love of painting. He is now ready to share the romantic stories that he creates in water color.
The artist exhibits great skill in his usage of water colors. His keen ability to capture the feeling of the painting is evident in the sensual sense that he is able to create within each. It is apparent that the Artist has a special Devine gift that was given by his Creator. He accepts the responsibility of his gift by sharing his special insight with the subject matter and creating an intimate experience for the beholder.
Today he lives with his wife on a “city” farm, “Fly By Knight Ranch,” in the outskirts of Bakersfield, Ca, painting, gardening, building projects and dreaming.
